If you’d told me this time yesterday that I would be blogging about my mug collection, I might have looked at you like you were a bit strange.
Now, here I am doing just that – showing you the inside of my mug cupboard. Blame that Kate Takes 5 person. She’s a strange one….
I’ve never really thought about my mug collection to be honest. As long as they’re big enough to keep me topped up all day with my tea fix (whether, it’s Earl Grey, green tea or ‘normal’ tea, I drink it all) then they’re good enough for me.
Now on rummaging through my cupboards, I realise we like our novelty mugs in this house.
This one is the one that I need to drink out of every morning (for some strange reason the tea tastes the best out of this one. Don’t ask. It’s a weird tea ritual magic thing.
) Very boring looking though. (They get more interesting. Honestly…)
Then there’s this one. Quite apt as I’ve just been to see the new Muppets film this afternoon, and I have to say – the Muppets still ‘rule’..
“Hiiiiiii-ya!” Yes, it’s that karate chopping diva, Miss Piggy.
The Snowman
Now this is the mug I use if it’s one of those mornings where a normal sized cup of tea just isn’t going to be enough to wake me up. It’s bucket sized and holds a lovely big vat of hot caffeine loveliness.
Friends mug
A cup of tea courtesy of Friends. Minus Central Perk and Gunther. Oh well.
Then, last but not least -
Gromit
Wallace’s sidekick.

we have Gromit too! Large mugs, earl grey, gromit – we get more alike as time goes on!!
Spooky
I have to agree, tea and coffee just tastes better in some mugs!
Love your mugs
Lou
I love the Miss Piggy mug! Ha!
Actually I think the design on your morning mug is very interesting. Not the colour obviously but the texture of the design. And of course I love the snowman. I’d be singing the theme tune every time I brewed up.
Love Gromit. And now I need to go and make a cuppa in a BIG MUG!
You’ve got some really funky mugs. I love the Gromit one!
I love the Miss Piggy one. It has reminded me of a Rolf the piano playing dog one that I had as a kid. Broken no doubt, how sad
Aw no, sad that it’s broken – a Rolf one sounds great!
Ah would you look at Gromit! Don’t think he’s looking to pleased about having his head filled with tea!
I really like the white one at the top, simple and elegant. I know exactly what you mean about tea tasting better in certain cups too!
